Elizabeth II

Read Time:31 Second

The club wishes to express its sadness and joins the nation in mourning the loss of our beloved Queen. For many of us, she was the only monarch we have known throughout our lives. As the ever-present face of Britain for seven decades, she won a place in the nation’s hearts. She was always there, on stamps, banknotes, on television at Christmas, and throughout the pandemic. There may be other Queens in other countries around the globe, but she was THE Queen.

So think fondly of her the next time you call ‘heads’ at the start of a match…

God save the King!
