Founded in 1929, we have a proud history of providing an excellent sporting facility for Bletchingley and the surrounding villages.

Bowling is fun and for all ages

We are a fun, friendly club where new members, both experienced & beginners, are welcome. Lawn Bowling is great fun and keeps your body, mind and soul fit and healthy. You can bowl competitively in our organised leagues & county matches.

Membership Types

  • Full-time Member – a person who, at the date of the election, shall have attained the age of eighteen years. Full members have full access to all club facilities.
  • A Social Member (Non-Playing) – As the title suggests, a social member can participate in all social aspects of the club but does not wish to bowl.
  • Friday Night Members – As the title suggests, a member who only wishes to play on Friday nights.
  • Junior Member – a person who, at the date of application, must be 18 or, if they are still in full-time education, 25 or under, and shall have no vote. Such a member shall be one who, at the commencement of the subscription year joins the club other than as a full member, or a family member.

Membership Prices

Full-time Members – £130 (if you pay before the 30th of November it will be £120).
Social Members – £40
Friday Night Members – £40
Junior Members – £20

There is a pro‐rata reduction to the annual subscription fee for those joining partway through the season. This membership application will be displayed on the club notice board for three days, after which you will be invited to a welcome meeting to explain how the club works and answer any questions you may have.

New Members

We offer new members a 50% discount if you join for the first year. There is a pro‐rata reduction to the annual subscription fee for those joining partway through the season. See our Membership Application Form for more details.

Social Members

You don’t have to play bowls to join the club. Why not become a Social member and make use of our excellent facilities? The Clubhouse has a competitively priced licensed bar and is available to members for private functions. Various Social activities are arranged throughout the year, and new ideas are always welcome.

Pop in and see us play

You are welcome to pop in to watch a match in progress and chat with members who will all give you a warm welcome. Look out for information about Open Days, usually during May, when we will participate in a Nationwide Welcome to Bowls Open Weekend.
